Distressed Grunge Roses and more!

I arrived home early this morning from my trip to Anaheim for the Winter CHA Show.  Let me just tell you I had a blast!  I was greeted at Midway Airport to a chilly 13 degrees and my windows frozen shut, so wishing I was back in California!

I arrived late in Anaheim Friday, my friend Traci picked me up at the airport and dropped me off at the CHA Super Show, I browsed around a bit, picked up a few things I just "needed", chatted with some old friends, met some new friends and stopped by the Technique Junkies Booth to see Pat Huntoon, to see what she was demoing.  Had some great laughs with friends (old and new) at dinner!  What a blast!

It's always fun to see the new product coming out, spend time with friends, meet new friends and take some classes!  I'm sure Gerrie and Kim are as exhausted as I am from all those lates nights, thanks for being my roomies!

On Saturday, I took a break from the Super Show as I had registered for the Tim Holtz "Do you Distress" class.  Let me just tell you, this class was awesome!  We created this beautiful project in class using Tim's new Tattered Florals Die, new Distress Inks and pieces from his new Idea-ology line.  Isn't it just beautiful!

The new inks I used are: Chipped Saphire, Crushed Olive, Barn Door and Wild Honey.  Let me just tell you these are beautiful colors.  Both Maria and Gerrie were also in this class, they each had 4 different colors of the new Distress Inks, so between the 3 of us, we had the whole new color pallette in front of us to use.

We also got a copy of Tim's new book - A Compendium of Curiosities, what a great book for any stamper to add to their collection.  A must have for anyone who uses Tim's products!  In this book he talks about all his products and what they are used for.  There's also some great mini photo tutorials of techniques!

Off to unpack the suitcases and wash the clothes!  Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
