Bloggers Challenge - Let's Twist Again!

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  I'm super excited as I'm heading to Anaheim today for the Winter Craft and Hobby Show! Be sure to check back as I'll be sharing pictures from Anaheim throughout the weekend.  If you happen to be attending the SuperShow, be sure to stop by the Techniques Junkies Booth 1110 - inside the Craft Critique Pavilion, I'll be popping in to help Pat with demos. If you're staying for the CHA Trade Show, don't forget Kitchen Sink Stamps will be hosting a Meet and Greet on Monday, January 25th from 7-9PM at the Peacock Inn Suites!

This weeks Bloggers Challenge is all about using Die Cuts or Punches.  I've always loved the look of Swing Cards, but never wanted to take the time to cut them out.  My solution?  Creative Cuts and More has an exclusive A2 Twist Die Cut that makes creating these cards a breeze!  For my card, I had the base cut from Bazzill Smoothies Chocolate Cream, I added a layer of Bazzill Smoothies Watermelon Sensation on the Twist panel, added my stamped my White panel.

To decorate my White panel, I stamped the sentiment from Kitchen Sink Stamps 3 Step Hibiscus in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Then using Eclipse Tape I stamped and masked the flowers - all stamps Kitchen Sink Stamps (see below) in various Memento Inks, adding some leaves as needed.  The Butterfly is stamped directly on the panel, then again on scrap paper, cutting off the antenna and popping it up over the stamped image.  I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip, then adhered to the Twist card.

For the back, I stamped the sentiment from Kitchen Sink Stamps 3 Step Daisy in Memento Rich Cocoa, then added a larger butterfly, stamped direclty on the panel, then stamped again cut out and popped on dimensionals.

To finish the card, I lightly misted both sides with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  When folded flat, these cards fit nicely in regular Invitation sized envelopes.
