Joyeux Noel

Merry Christmas Eve! I took the last few days off from blogging to get things finished up for Christmas. The boys finished their last finals yesterday and will be on break until January 7th - they are hoping for more snow to take the sleds out, and to tell you the truth, I'd much rather have that then all the rain and ice we've been getting. Their calling for a few more days of this ice/snow mixture - surely doesn't make for a nice White Christmas, but it will make for some great scenery photos for next years cards.

I have one more Christmas card to share, and hopefully will have a chance to finish my project for Fridays' Bloggers Challenge post later today. I've had this project idea in my head for some time, just haven't quite finished it yet!

I used a combination of CuttleBug Highlights and Antiqued Glimmers to created the Snowflake background on the Artichoke Panel - the Antiqued Glimmers ended up just where I wanted them on the snowflakes only. For the Antiqued Glimmers, I used Peeled Paint Distress Ink and Pearl Glimmer Mist. The image and sentiment are from the Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods plate. The image is stamped in Black Archival on White card stock, then colored using and H20 Brush and Distress Inks. The cool border is made using the Arch Lattice Punch.

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods
Ink - Black Archival Ink, Distress Ink Peeled Paint, Fired Brick Red
Card Stock - Artichoke, Real Red, Black, White
Other - Pearl Glimmer Mist, Craft Sheet, Sponge Dauber, Big Shot, CuttleBug Snowflakes Folder, Arch Lattice Punch
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas Eve!
