Something Sweet - Vintage Herringbone

Another Technique in the December TJNL is the Herringbone Technique. I've added this one to my list of favorite techniques. What a great way to use up those scraps of pattern pattern, I also added some Drywall Stitching to give that quilted look. I used 2SketchesForYou Sketch 40, and Cosmo Cricket Paper for a bit of a vintage look. Can you believe Christmas is only a month away! These JustRite images make creating my Holiday cards a breeze! Be sure you head over to the 2Sketches Blog and play along in this weeks challenge - JustRite is the sponsor this week, and has an awesome prize for the sketch winner!

The images are from the JustRite Something Sweet Borders and Centers. I placed my center and border on the 2-3/8" Wood Stamper, then stamped in Black on Ivory Confetti. I used Spellbinder Circle Nestabilities to cut the images, layering the snowman on a Black circle, then sentiment on a Blue Bayou Circle, then layered on a Burgundy Labels Three panel. I stamped the image again on a scrap of Cosmo Cricket and paper pieced the mittens and scarf. I added color with markers and Spica Glitter Pens. To finish my card, I added a Idea-ology Corner and Basic Grey Pearls.

Don't forget to check out the JustRite Black Friday – 5 Day Sale—Take 20% off all JustRite Products (excluding November Releases) – November 26th- (Thanksgiving Day)- November 30th .
