Happy Friday! Welcome to another Bloggers Challenge, this week, it's all about Birthdays! Of course usually when I issue this challenge to the team, it's because I *need* a birthday card. Today, is my youngest sons birthday, his golden birthday....It's hard to believe he's already 14, where did the time go? Seems like it was just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital, and his older brother (by 18 months) was staring lovingly at him, eager to have someone to play with. Now they both tower over DH and I.....as the song goes, Don't Blink, life goes faster than you think....Happy Birthday Joe!
So, what did I create for Joe's card? I've kept a few retired Stampin' Up! sets, because they are what my DH and boys are all about, the great outdoors! For Joe's card I used the Retired Angler Set, stampin in Black on Watercolor paper, coloring with the Marker Watercoloring Technique. The sketch was inspired by this weeks SCS241, I just made my center panel smaller. For the background panel, I stamped the lures using the Depth of Field Technique, morphing a bit, because I used 4 colors of ink, then filled in the white space with a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede Ink. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Words currently in the IB&C.
Details:
Stamps - Stampin' Up! Angler (retired); Teeny Tiny Words
Ink - Black, Soft Suede, Markers, Red, Grey, Bordering Blue
Card Stock - White, Black, Red, Watercolor
Other - Sponge Dauber, Aquapainter
