Welcome to another Bloggers Challenge Friday! This week my challenge to the Bloggers Group was to CASE one of the other Bloggers Challenge Members. Now let me tell you there is a lot of talent in this group, so picking one person to CASE was not an easy task. CASE means different things to different people Copy And Stamp Exactly/Copy And Steal Everything...When it comes to CASEing, I'm more of an inspired by type of stamper. I like to use sketch layout/color combinations that sort of stuff, but not a true stamp exactly type of stamper...
I chose to use this card from Kerry as my CASE. Besides Kerry's awesome coloring, she has a knack for using designer paper on her cards, an area that is not my strong point, as I'm more of a create your own background using techniques type of gal. Now mind you Kerry and I have a very different type of stamp style, I can honestly tell you I own no Riley's/Hannah's or those beautiful Magnolia images she uses, so I did not fully CASE her card. Rather, I borrowed her layout and designer series paper idea for the sketch. I did omit the ribbon, and in it's place used the Drywall Stitching around my Basic Grey Perhaps paper. Thanks Kerry for the inspiration!
The beautiful image is from Kitchen Sink Stamps new release Multi Step Baby. I mentioned the other day on stamping the images out of order to help line them up easier, for this one I stamped #3 in Regal Red, #4 Regal Red, #2 Pretty in Pink, #1 Pink Pirouette. The layers were cut with the Big Shot and Spellbinders Circle & Scallop Dies. The sentiment is from this same plate - stamped in Black using a SAMJ. If you missed Monday's KSS release post - click here to read about The Full Sink Special. As always, you can save 10% on all Kitchen Sink Stamps purchases by using code LISA10KSS when you check out.
Details:
Stamps - Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi Step Baby
Ink - Black, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette
Card Stock - White, Old Olive, Regal Rose, Basic Grey Perhaps
Other - Spellbinders Oval/Circle Dies, Double Circle Punch, Clear Gel Pen, Quickie Glue Pen, Drywall Tape, Ruler, Old Olive Marker, SAMG

Super job on this. I agree Kerry is great at using DP and you are fabulous at those techniques. Fun to try new things. I am thrilled that I finally CASED you and made that flip book. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great card, great CASE. I can certainly see Kerry's inspirational influence here!
Great little baby card! The shoes remind me of the ones I wore when I was a baby! Yes....I am old!
Gorgeous Lisa! I love all the contrast!
This is a gorgeous card, Lisa. You did a wonderful translating Kerry's card into your own style, but keeping in perspective her delightful Riley card. Great job...
What a GREAT card---I just might have to CASE your card for my CASE!
Nola
Very nice Lisa.
Beautiful DSP! Love your case of Kerry, using your own unique style!
Wonderful card. Your style is so unique and you did a fabulous job caseing Kerry (who's card was adorable) with your own take on her sketch. I love the papers and those baby shoes are wonderful (I had some like that too so I guess I'm "Old" as well as Lisa!)
I'm with you....I'm not good at incorporating DP with my projects, so that's a brilliant way to do it...CASE. I love the image you chose, it's one of my favorites these days. Super Cute!
Awwww, so so sweet!

Great card, love that paper you used and I'm right there with you in not owning any Rileys/Hanna's or Tilda's
That is a fantastic card! You captured the essentials from Kerry's while keeping your own style for sure! Super cute!
This is a wonderful layout....a great way to showcase different backgrounds or DSP. Your card is fabulous.....Kerry must be so proud!
Great case of Kerry's card and lovely use of the designer paper! It's good to get out of our comfort zones occasionally so thanks for the great challenge!
