I thought I'd try a few things using the Newsprint Reveal as my inspiration - but with no Newsprint. I loved the look Happiness is a Journey with the Newsprint Reveal - because the stamp is a reverse image stamp - so the newsprint is actually behind the image rather then on the image itself. So I thought I'd morph the technique with a piece of Spectrum Roll that I had laying around. I did stamp the Sanded Background on my Spectrum Roll piece before Embossing Happiness is a Journey, as I wanted more of a distressed look to my finished card.
To finish my card, I used SCS Sketch Challenge 226 as my layout inspiration. This will make a great manly card for those men in my life! Off to remake the panel on my card from this mornings post so it reads 2009...
Details:
Stamps - Happiness is a Journey, It's Your Birthday, Sanded (all SU)
Ink - Spectrum Pad, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip
Card Stock - Olive, Pumpkin, Chocolate Chip, Mustard
Other - Clear EP, Sponge Dauber, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Spellbinders Circle Die, Big Shot, Heat Gun
