Bloggers Challenge - Color Challenge

Hope you've had a good week. The weather here is finally starting to warm - figures Spring Break is almost over. The boys did manage to get out today with Jim for a nice bonding day of fishing. I've gotten quite a few things off my desk this week, glad to be feeling better! Now on to this weeks challenge.

This weeks Bloggers Challenge is a color challenge. Use Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke (neutrals as needed) ETA Sahara Sand was supposed to be listed AND used...I left that out, not intentionally, I blame it on not feeling good this week. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I started this card (quite a few times actually) last night, and finished up this morning. Just couldn't get what I was after the first few times.

I finally decided to cut my card stock 4-1/4" x 11-1/2 (tent fold), it made my idea flow much easier. I added color to the Kind Thoughts Flourish (found in the Decor Elements Catalog), with Artichoke ink on Artichoke card stock, to use as my background. Stamped the bird from Friends 24-7 and used the SAMJ to stamp the sentiment in Artichoke on the Sage card stock. The damask was stamped repeatedly on Sage using the SAMJ, then sponge the edges with Chocolate Chip. To finish off my card, I dyed my White Taffeta ribbon Chocolate and added the stick pin from the Pretties Kit.

Details:
Stamps - Friends 24-7 (SU)
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Sage Shadow
Other - Stipple Brush, Kind Thoughts Flourish, White Taffeta Ribbon, Sponge Dauber, Spritz Bottle, Pretties Kit, Glue Dot

Be sure to check out what the other players created with this weeks challenge - just click on the Bloggers Challenge Logo on my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend.

Oh my goodness Lisa. You design right where my heart lives!

I love the Friends 24-7 set. My fav of the entire catalog and you've shown me so many wonderful ways to use it. Really have to get that stencil now!

I'm beginning to think your stencil has the same magic in it that Michelle Zindorf's brayer has. On the other hand maybe it's the fingers and brain manipulating it :D

Hugs, blessings and thanks for sharing - Jean
