Triple Play - Thoughts and Prayers

I'm still working my way through the Techniques from the February TJNL, that I hadn't had a chance to create with a few months ago when working on my assignments. No one likes to make Sympathy cards, but with the Triple Play Technique, you can get 3 done quickly so you'll have them on hand when you need them.

I love the new Parisian Breeze Speciality DSP - it's textured, cover-weight card stock, and oh so beautiful! Here I've paired it up with Thoughts and Prayers, to create a Sympathy Card. The panel where the DSP is opens, to reveal your personal written message. I added a Jumbo Eyelet and dyed my Organza Ribbon Chocolate Chip (I simply used a sponge dauber and ink), then tied it around the panel to keep it closed. To dress up the corners of my card, I used the Mat Pack to pierce a few holes.

Details:
Stamps - Thoughts and Prayers
Card Stock - Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Parisian Breeze DSP
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Other - Vanilla HPH, Pop Up Glue Dots, Glue Dots, Organza Ribbon, Sponge Dauber, Tool Kit, Jumbo Eyelets, Stamp-a-ma-Jig

Hi Lisa,
Your sympathy card is just beautiful. The colors are very soothing and the design is gorgeous. I hope you don't need to use it for a long, long time!

This card is absolutely stunning. I am not a brown person but these colors work together perfectly. The tree is so dramatic and seems to symbolize "sympathy". Beautiful card, as always.
