TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge

Another Monday....Another sketch challenge from MJ at TechnoStamper. I decided to rotate MJ's sketch this week, and forgo sentiments, and add the punched stars. The center star has the smaller star punched from the middle then popped up for some added dimension. I colored the main image from The Free and the Brave, using the Marker Water Coloring Technique. Before I started to color, I used my White Gel Pen to color the Stars and Stripes. The gel pen worked as a resist keeping color off the areas that I wanted to remain white.

Here's MJ's original sketch if you'd like to play along.

Details:
Stamps - The Free and the Brave (Stampin' Up)
Ink - Black, Markers
Card Stock - Watercolor, Real Red, Brilliant Blue
Other - Large & Small Star Punches, Dimensionals, Aquapainter
Finished Size - 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Love, Love, LOVE this Lisa! I have a "make it, bake it, take it" on Wednesday and have struggled with what to make to take with me. I think I found the inspiration! Also, thanks so much for the info using the white gel pen. When your card came through the TJ group I was so impressed that your stars were so perfect! Now I know the secret. I appreciate all the artwork you share with us!
