Bloggers Challenge - Alter It

Another Friday, another Bloggers Challenge. This weeks challenge is to alter something. I had my mind all set on what I was going to alter, but wouldn't you know it, things just didn't go as planned, so I scrapped my original idea. I had tons of alterables in my stash, so one would think it wouldn't be a problem to come up with something worth sharing, right? Wrong! Must be the weather, my muse just wasn't up to snuff.....After a few things hit the garbage, I did end of with my altered item.

I began with a naked shadow box type of frame (5" x 5"), covered it with Bella Blue DSP. Stamped a few flourishes from Friends 24-7, then stenciled with the Kind Thoughts Flourish in Chocolate Chip. Stippled on some more Chocolate into the DSP, cut my center out, then sanded and sponged the edges. Not wanting to paint the frame, because I'm impatient....I simply swiped a rag into my ink then onto the naked wood. The focal images are also from Friends 24-7. Now to find a home for this altered piece....

Details:
Stamps - Friends 24-7
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Creamy Carmel, Baja Breeze, Markers
Card Stock - Vanilla, Bella Blue, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Other - Spritz Tool, Stipple Brush, Sponge Dauber, Kind Thoughts Flourish, Xacto Knife, Glue Stick, Frame, Dimensionals

Be sure to stop by the other challenge players blogs, I'm sure you'll be inspired by their work!

Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!
ETA - I've found a home for this piece -thanks to all who offered.
