A Fond Farewell.....Summer by the Sea

I've had the set Summer by the Sea, since it was first introduced by Stampin' Up!, and I think it's going to be one of those sets that I won't be parting with now that it's retired. I love coloring and open image stamps - the image I used here on my card was just screaming out for the Marker Water Coloring Technique.

To create my frames - I used my Spellbinders Labels 2, cutting them out of Close to Cocoa and Watercolor papers. For the smallest Cocoa piece - I wanted an opening for my image to show through, so I just placed the smaller die inside the previous one I had cut, and cut out an opening so that my watercolored image would show through.

I used the Ellison Texture Plates to create the embossed image on my Sage card stock, then added some Dew Drops for embellishments.
Details:
Stamps - Summer by the Sea
Ink - Black, Markers, Close to Cocoa
Card Stock - Vanilla, Sage Shadow, Close to Cocoa, Watercolor
Other - Dew Drops, Big Shot, Spellbinders Labels 2, Crystal Effects, Aquapainter, Texture Plates

Lisa I don't think I will ever get rid of that set either. I also think I will be adding those Spellbinders Labels to my wish list. This is a terrific card

I agree! Love the color combination you chose. I think these two sets are some of my all time favorites! They're pretty enough that they look like art rather than stamps.
