Cherish

I just love Wednesday's as it's Sketch Challenge day over at SCS. I saw so many possibilities with this weeks sketch - even had different stamps picked out and rotated the sketch, but alas I picked out some of my more neglected images - Baroque Motifs and Dreams Du Jour and paired them up with some Bella Rose DSP.

Because I was going for a vintage look on my card, I wanted to add a bit of vintage to the butterflies, but not over do it, so I used the Ink Wash Technique. It gave them just the right amount of color without being too heavy. To add some lift to my butterflies and give them more of a flying look, I placed dimensionals under both wings and pushed down slightly in the center when adhering to my panel pieces.

Speaking of challenges - be sure to come back tomorrow to check out the ISC Challenge for this month - I can't wait to share mine with you!

Details:
Stamps - Dreams Du Jour, Baroque Moftifs (all SU)
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Pink, Bella Rose DSP
Other - Dimensionals, Aquapainter, Sponge Dauber
Finished Size - 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"

Well, I started a comment, but it very suddenly disappeared, so I'll write again.

Lovely card, Lisa. Love how it all fits together, and the dimensional butterflies, looking like they've found some nice nectar.

What an elegant card. I don't mind cutsey occassionally but I usually strive for that touch of elegance in everything I create. I am enjoying looking through your blog. Thanks for sharing...Gayle
