The Keeper Plate is a must have for the fishing enthusiasts! Well, a must have in my house anyway. This is the card I created for my FIL for his recent birthday. Yep, he loves to fish too!
The Keeper Plate features nostalgic images from the lazy, hazy days of summer. On this plate you get 7 deeply etched images, including the snapshot of a boy with his first catch (shown here). I'll be posting more samples later this week, so be sure to check back.
I used the Watercolor Distress Technique (TJNL) for my background, then added color with my water brush and Distress Inks. The brown designer paper is Cobblestone from The Paper Loft, the green is Boxer from Basic Grey. The sentiment comes from the Playtime Plate at AO. The fishing line and fly are real, I took them from some old tackle belonging to my grandfather. I even tied the fly on by myself!
