Coin Envelope Tutorial for use with Gift Card Holders

I recently received a swap from Sherri Barbarotto, that used the gift card tutorial found on SCS. I really wanted to make a bunch of these, and not having any coin envelopes on hand, I decided to make my own using Designer Series Paper.

Coin Envelope Tutorial

Supplies:
Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 5 ½” x 4 1/16"
Scor-It or scoring tool
Corner Rounder
1 ¼" Circle Punch
Snail

Place your DSP onto your Scor-It (or use your scoring method of choice). From the 5 ½” side score at 1 ½” on each side.

Rotate your DSP and score ¾”

Using your paper snips - clip as shown

Use your corner rounder to round the corners of the ¾” flap

Adhere flaps with snail and secure in place

Flip the holder over and using the 1 ¼” Circle Punch, punch ½ of the circle. (Make sure you are punching this from the open side) Secure your holder into your gift card holder.

Thank you so much! I just went to Office Depot looking for coin envelopes and all they had was a box of 500 for $17! OMGosh! I just wanted a handful for a mini album. I did a Google search and found this tutorial of how to make my own. Yeah! So glad you have left this up even if it was posted several years ago. Thanks! :) Janis
