Bloggers Challenge Week 13 - Embossing

It's Friday - and you know what that means! Another Bloggers Challenge! This week our challenge was embossing. This could be any type of embossing - there's so many options out there when it comes to embossing....

Dry Embossing
Brass Stencil Embossing
Embossing Powders
Embossing Folders
Emboss Resist
Abstract Embossing
Josephs Coat
Basic Embossing
Reverse Josephs Coat
Faux Dry Embossing
Embossed Water Color Crayons
Faux Chipboard
Split Negative

and the list goes on.....

I've got two types of embossing to share with you for this challenge - this first card show Abstract Embossing (04/05 TJNL) . The layout was inspired by a card I received from Lisa Bohler in a recent swap

Card Details
Stamps - With Gratitude, Simply Said
Card Stock - More Mustard, Confetti, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Versamark
Other - Sponge Dauber, Photo Corner Punch, Red/Orange/Brown/Green/Yellow Embossing Powders, Heat Tool

This next card features the Cuttlebug Pearls Technique from the upcoming October issue of the TJNL. I love the antique look of the embossing folder, with the shimmer of the pearls showing through.

Joining me as a guest challenge player this week is Gerrie Johnnic - here's her "Fabulous Flower" embossed card. Isn't that a clever use of the star punch!

Be sure to check out the other Bloggers Challenge Players Blogs located on my side bar - I'm sure they will inspire you to get out your embossing items!

If you'd like to play along with this weeks challenge, be sure to leave a link to your blog in this post!

Have a great Friday!

~Lisa
