I thought a nice Red, White and Blue card was in order for posting on the 4th of July. This card uses the Cling and Scrunch Technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter. Since I didn't have the Color Wash colors I needed, I modified the technique to suit my needs, and used LuminArte Rain Mist Daubers instead. The background sparkles in real life.
Card Details - Image stamped in black stazon on white card stock, then colored with watercolor crayons. Stamps - SU Retired Godspeed.
Modified Cling and Scrunch using LuminArte Rain Mist Daubers
- Watercolor paper
- LuminArte Rain Mist Daubers
- Saran Wrap
Lightly spritz watercolor paper with water - then quickly and lightly dab on the LuminArte Rain Mist Daubers (being careful not to muddy the colors). Wrap scrunched saran wrap around your watercolor paper. Let dry, when dry remove the saran wrap and embellish as desired.

Beautiful card. I love the technique piece, but the image of the soldier is so solemn.
Lisa, Thank you for sharing this card. As a military mom, I am so proud of our military and appreciate those who honor them. I have placed your card on my blog for others to see.
