Sketch Challenge

If you ever get into a stamping slump - nothing gets you going like a good old challenge. This weeks SCS Sketch Challenge 130 was up when I got in from a meeting last night - so how could I not play with it?

After yesterdays clean cut no sponges card (which was out of the box for me), I tried to leave the sponges alone, really I did...So I picked up my sanding block instead and sanded the edges of my beautiful Brocade Background Designer Series Paper to add some depth, I'm really happy with the way this turned out.

Card Details: Stamps - Brocade Motifs, Touch of Nature, Hugs & Wishes
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, River Rock, Brocade Background
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Old Olive

This next card uses the same Sketch 130, I used the Cling and Scrunch Technique from the June Technique Junkies Newsletter, it gives just the right texture to this masculine card.

Card Details: Stamps - Noble Deer
Card Stock - Old Olive, Watercolor, Black
Ink - Stazon
Other - WC Crayons, Black Grosgrain, Color Wash Sprays, Aquapainter

Oh my gosh, that Anniversary card is stunning. I think that one is suitable for framing!!! I love the Noble Deer card too. I was so depressed when I recently lost 137 stamp sets in my inventory and to cheer myself up, I finally broke down and bought Noble Deer. I will be using the heck out of that set in the next few months. Beautiful cards Lisa. Now I have to check out SCS and see this new sketch challenge!

Lisa, Both cards are wonderful. I've got to say the Baroque Motifs card is my favorite of the two. I love what you did with the DP and the color scheme is great. Ida
