Altered Frame - Brocade Backgrounds

I picked up this frame today at the Target Dollar Spot - it's great for altering.

I cut my Brocade Background DS Paper the size of my frame and adhered it to my frame using Scotch Tacky Adhesive. Once dry, I sanded my edges, and removed the center with an xacto knife. I stamped the swirl from the Brocade Motifs in Chocolate Chip. Using a sponge dauber and Chocolate Chip ink, I applied it all around the frames edges. Stamped the flower image in Chocolate Chip on River Rock and cut out. Stamped the image again in River Rock on River Rock card stock, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the center in Chocolate Chip, cut out and layer on Chocolate Chip image. Adhere with a vintage brad, attach to frame with a dimensional. Tie on Chocolate Chip and Spring Moss grosgrain ribbons.

This is so beautiful!!! I have a box full of frames in the garage, you know what happens when they get exiled to the garage. I've gotta dust some of this stuff off and get going. Thanks for the inspiration. Ramblin Rose

Lisa! I had these in my hand thinking what I could do with them and put them back! I guess I'll be making a trip over there to pick some up! Great job!

Wow! This frame is gorgeous, absolutely stunning! And what a great idea converting one from the Dollar Spot! I've been dying for a trip to Target since I saw some cute polka-dot ice cream bowls on someone's blog...a trip to the dollar spot usually ends up costing me about a hundred dollars though! lol! You've just pushed me over the edge, I'm going!
