Doodle This Clock

My clock originally started off as a Tic-Tac-Toe Board

Before

After

The Modern Grid Technique in the current TJNL gave me the inspiration for this clock. I painted the Tic-Tac-Toe board black and let it dry. Then I cut my whisper white card stock the same size as my board. Stamped my Doodle This images in stazon and let dry. I colored the images in with my Aquapainter and inks (regal rose, bashful blue, old olive and apricot appeal) and added my doodle lines. I then cut my pieces to the same size as my Tic-Tac-Toe wood blocks and glued them on with Scotch Tacky Adhesive. Once dry, I adhered the wood pieces to the board, let dry and had DH drill a hole for the clock pieces.

Here's another altered Tic-Tac-Toe board - this one uses Tim Holtz papers, stamps by Lasting Impressions with Panache and Innovative Stamp Creations.

ETA - I got the tic tac toe boards from my mom some time ago - they've been sitting in my "to alter" stash - they came from the Dollar Store.

These are great clocks, Lisa. I am so impressed that you saw a clock when you got these tic tac toe boards. I would have only seen a dust collector in my house!!! Great job.
