Chipboard Post-It Note Tutorial

Got Chipboard????

Make covers....

Supplies:

DS Paper cut to 9 1/4" x 5"
Coordinating card stock cut to 7" x 3 1/4"
Xyron or sticky strip
3 pieces of chipboard - here I used blank coasters
Cut (2) 3 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Cut (1) 3 1/2" x 1/2"
Post-It Notes
Optional (2) 6" pieces of coordinating grosgrain ribbon

Take your DS paper and run it through your xyron (or adhere sticky strip)

Lay the DS paper adhesive (or sticky strip) side up. Place one of the 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" pieces of chipboard down on one end, making sure to have equal distance from the end as it is from each side. Lay the 3 1/2" x 1/2" piece next to the first piece, leaving about an 1/8" gap. Lay the remaining 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" piece of chipboard next to the smaller piece, leaving the same gap as before.

Cut the corners of the DS paper at an angle, about 1/8" away from the corner of the chipboard square. Clip the sides up to the gap in the middle (in the picture you see mine cut and folded up) this will allow the holder to close properly.

Fold the edges of your DS paper over and create mitered corners at the ends. Repeat with each end. Fold the middle flaps in. Press down firmly and smooth out with your fingers.

(***optional - add a 6" piece of coordinating grosgrain ribbon centering on each side)

Run your 7" x 3 1/4" piece of card stock through your xyron (or adhere sticky strip) center it over your chipboard. Press down firmly with your fingers to smooth - bend to make the creases in the middle. Decorate as desired.

I MUST make this post it note holder. It is the best one yet. I put a star on it and when I feel better, (have a spring cold), will make one. LOVE IT.

Lisa: I found your blog through a link from Alison's site (Stampin When I Can). I love your little post-it note tutorial. But, I have to say, everything on your site is great! Love your altered clocks! TFS!
