They Say it's your Birthday.....

it's her birthday too yeah!!! Okay, so "our" birthday is still a week away, but I had to make my mom's card tonite so it would arrive in time for her birthday!



For this card I used 2 of the items (Petals Jumbo Wheel and Petals & Paisley DS paper) from the Spring Fever Promotion being offered by Stampin' Up! this month. The sketch for this card comes from SCS Sketch Challenge 114.

Wheel the Petals Jumbo Wheel on Taken with Teal card stock and layer it onto your Old Olive base card. Attach your strip of Petals & Paisley DS paper to a strip of Old Olive card stock. Stamp your sentiment in Rose Red on Whisper White card stock and use the Designer Label Punch to add some fun to your corners. (To do this, I cut my strip the same width as my Label Punch and slipped in my card stock like this, then flipped my card stock around to do the other side.) I know you are probably thinking I could have used the Ticket Corner Punch here, but I only wanted a subtle corner not quite as deep as the Ticket Corner punch. Adhere under your Old Olive strip, and adhere to your base card. Stamp the calendar from Office Accoutrement onto your Whisper White card stock in Taken with Teal. Use the cool Spiral Punch on the edge, layer on Rose Red card stock. Use a Rose Red marker to circle and fill in your date. Attach to base card. Mail to my mom to make it in time for her special day!
