Birthday Blog Candy - Artistic Outpost and Bloggers Challenge
Today's the last giveaway in my week long birthday celebration. It's also Friday, which means another Bloggers Challenge. I purposely assigned the theme "birthday" for this weeks challenge - as tomorrow is my actual birthday! Saturday is also my mom's birthday - I know your reading this mom - hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Before I share today's Bloggers Challenge Birthday card - I want to introduce you to today's Birthday Blog Candy sponsor - Artistic Outpost. Artistic Outpost carries unique deeply etched rubber stamps and other sundries. One of my current favorite sheet from Artistic Outpost is Serentiy - but I can't wait to get my hands on the upcoming new releases!
Today's birthday giveaway is the stamp sheet of your choice from Artistic Outpost!
You can check out the Artistic Outpost site here, be sure to stop the by Artistic Outpost Blog too, for gallery submissions by the AO Design Team, and sign up for blog updates! You can also check out the upcoming new AO stamp releases on the blog.
Now on to the Bloggers Challenge Card - I used the Polaroid Cutie - thought she'd be perfect for a birthday card. Since it is a big birthday for me, I decided to go vintage and use the Burnt Edges technique. I added the vintage brads to fill the space on the top right side, and distressed them using my Tim Holtz hammer.
Details:

Card Stock - Black, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip
Technique - Burnt Edges 02/07 TJNL

Birthday Blog Candy Day 4 - Innovative Stamp Creations
It’s day 4 in the countdown to my birthday! Anyone want to guess how old I'll be?
Today's Birthday sponsor is Betsy Griffin at Innovative Stamp Creations. ICS not only carries beautiful deeply etched rubber stamps, they also carry product by Tim Holtz , Zutter and Teresa Collins to name a few! Oh yeah, if your a TJNL subscriber Betsy also has the Shimmer Sheetz I used in the Aged Metal Tutorial I wrote for February's issue.
Here's a card using one of my favorite sheets from ISC - Beautiful Flowers
I used the Aged Metal Technique for the background using Yellow Shimmer Sheetz - but substituted a Fiskars Embossing plate for the Cuttllebug Folder. I also did a morphed version of Smackin' Acetate - as I didn't want a ton of color, but more of a sublte look, so I stamped my image in stazon, then colored with markers, spritzed a piece of acetate with water and pressed it onto my image and removed.
Today's birthday giveaway is the new All About Me Stamp Sheet from Innovative Stamp Creations!
ETA - if you're looking to do some shopping at Innovative Stamp Creations - use code lscag for 10% off ALL items- good through 3/16/08
