TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge

I've got the right sketch this week - since I was ahead of my self last week. I'm still working on graduation invites - I used my Just Rite Stamp DIY Monogram Stampers to create the "class of 2008" - they are great for adding some personalization to the cards.

Details:
Ink - Black
Card Stock - White, Black
Other - 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch

Click here to see the card I created last week using this sketch

Here's MJ's original sketch - if you'd like to play along - leave a link here to your card - or upload to SCS using TSSC17 as your keyword.

TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge

Here's the correct card for this weeks TechnoSamper Sketch Challenge....Between having ISP problems since last week, and being woken in the middle of the night, I'm just not all here today...Anyhow - I've used my scraps - same colors and stamps and now here's Sketch 16...Sorry for any confusion.

Details - Stamps Innovative Stamp Creations - Natures Silhouette and Art Frames II. The backgound on the flower panel was created using the Cling & Scrunch Technique (TJNL) with Memories Mist Copper.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

whew....I'm running a bit behind in getting my challenge card done - but I've got it finished! This weeks sketch is a great layout, and I'll be using it again. TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge - Playtime

This is MJ's sketch #15 over at TechnoStamper. Another great sketch, and yes, I've rotated my sketch again to work with this new image from the Playtime Sheet at Artistic Outpost. The image on this sheet is actually fellow DT member Gerrie Johnnic's DH when he was a boy - isn't that cool!

I used the Watercolor Distress Technique from a past TJNL issue. I wanted a soft look for the image so I used distress inks in Scattered Straw and Distressed Rose. The main image is stamped in Ranger Archival Black. I punched a hole in the top and bottom and added black grosgrain tied in a bow - to follow the sketch layout. Be sure to check out the new plates Adventure and Playtime at Artistic Outpost - on sale for a limited time!

For my 2nd card - I kept my layout rotated. I masked my frame from Artistic Outpost's Playtime sheet, stamping it in black. On this one I cut off the bows on the frame. I used eclipse tape across the bottom and side of my frame so I could stamp my flowers from Bloomin' Beautiful. I colored my flower with Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. I restamped and colored a small portion of the flower images, and placed them on my main image with dimensionals to give it some depth. (Paper Tole Technique). I added a bit of Chocolate Chip around the frame. My image is layered on Basic Grey's Boxer designer paper, then Groovy Guava card stock.

TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge

It's Monday, time for another one of MJ's Monday Sketch Challenges....This weeks sketch was a very easy one - I've created 3 different cards to show just how versatile a sketch can be.

For this card, I rotated the sketch on it's side. I used the Burnished Embossing Technique from a past issue of the TJNL, with my Ornate Tooled Leather stamp. I stamped my Silhouette Asters from Starving Artistamps in Blue Bayou Ink on white card stock, then cut out a circle with my coluzzle, I layered this on a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock that I punched with my Marvy Scallop punch, then pierced holes with my piercing tool. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Love & Happiness rub ons.

For this next card, I used the Wedding Party set from Flourishes. I stamped it in black ink on shimmer card stock, added color with watercolor crayons. I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the body of her dress with my Quickie Glue Pen, then gave her a necklace, and accented her veil and dress with some gems. The sentiment is white embossed.

On this last card I rotated the sketch again, and replaced the circle image in MJ's sketch with a butterfly.

Details:
Stamps - Baroque Motifs, Touch of Nature, Holidays & Wishes
Ink - Pumpkin, Chocolate Chip
Card Stock - Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Other - Dimensionals, Paper Piercing Tool

TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge

Another Monday....Another sketch challenge from MJ at TechnoStamper. For this sketch I've eliminated the small circles and used ribbon in it's place. My card has more of a distress look to it and I wanted the ribbon to have that same look. After dying my white taffeta ribbon with my soft sky ink, I used my chocolate chip marker and ran it just along the edge, then swiped it with my aquapainter to let the chocolate ink bleed a bit into the soft sky - I love the way the ribbon turned out.

My flower images are from Bloomin' Beautiful, stamped in basic brown. I morphed the Embossed Watercolor Crayon Technique (TJNL), as Stampin' Up! doesn't' carry Soft Sky in a watercolor crayon - so I used my aquapainter and ink pad for color, then clear embossed.

Details:
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, White, Afternoon Tea DSP
Other - Clear EP, White Taffeta Ribbon, Chocolate Chip Marker, Spritz Bottle, Sponge Dauber

TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge

It's Monday....Time for another sketch challenge from MJ at TechnoStamper! This weeks layout was great for making my card look like a filmstrip, and perfect to use with Stampin' Up!'s To Have and to Hold wedding set.

Details:
Ink - Black, Red Marker
Card Stock - Real Red, Black, White
Other - Spiral Punch (for the film strip look)

Technostamper Sketch Challenge

It's Monday, and that means another sketch challenge from MJ over at Technostamper. This weeks sketch was really easy to work with - I removed the arrow from the sketch and replaced it wtih a sentiment. To create the sentiment grouping - I applied Rangers Crackle Paint to my Grungeboard, and let it dry, then using a sponge dauber applied some Perfect Plum ink to the cracks. My sentiment was too long to fit inside the opening of the Grungeboard, so I placed it on dimensionals so it could be placed ontop. I added black vintage brads, which I distressed using the Tim Holtz Hammer. I used the Spotlight Technique for my focal image, stamping the image (Artistic Outpost Happiness sheet) in black on my white card stock, then restamping the image in Late November, punching a part of the butterfly with my 1 1/4" circle, layering it on a punched 1 3/8" circle, then onto my focal image.

Here's this weeks sketch ------->

TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge 4

It's Monday and that means it's another sketch from my friend Mary Jo over at TechnoStamper - she'll have the sketch posted at noon CST along with a link to some of the other players blogs - be sure to check it out. If you'd like to play along -just leave a comment here with a link to your creation - if you're uploading on SCS, please use keyword TSSC4. Now on to this weeks sketch...

I've decided to turn my cards for this weeks sketch - yep, I like this sketch so much, I made two of them!

For this first card - I did a little paper piecing. I stamped my focal image onto Scarlet's Letter designer paper by Basic Grey, and cut out my iris pieces. I then stamped my image onto SU's wild wasabi textured card stock, and cut it out. Then I stamped my image on very vanilla so that I had something to put my images onto , then I began putting my pieces together - sorta like putting together a puzzle. Here's the end results...

Don't forget you can get a 10% discount on all your purchases from Starving Artistamps - just enter code lisadis in the discount code box. Once you enter the code, click recalculate. You should see the discount come up.

Details:
Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter from StarvingArtistamps

My next card also uses the Scarlet's Letter paper from Basic Grey, here I've teamed it up with some images from Innovative Stamp Creations Friendship sheet. My image is stamped on SU's shimmer white card stock, and colored with markers.

Have a great Monday!
