Bloggers Challenge - Reuse/Recycle

Happy New Years Eve!  It's time for another Bloggers Challenge, this weeks theme is Reuse/Recycle.  Or as I like to call it, clean out that alterable stash!  I'm repurposing a Paper Mache Box I've had in my "collection".  To give the Paper Mache Box new life, I painted the bottom with a Ranger Paint Dabber in Rose, then added some Pumice Stone ink on the embossed section and some Liquid Pearls.

The top is covered in a piece of Prima paper, the edges with some Tissue Tape that was sponged with Pumice Ink.  The Beautiful Flower is created with Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Flowers set, Daisy Patch Die, Elegant Single Leaves  and  Perfect Petals Die.  The sentiment is from the Classic Message set.  I added some Prima Flourishes, stickpins and Brown string to decorate the area around the flower.

Color inspiration is a loose interpretation of this weeks PDCC Color Story

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! I'll be back later this afternoon to share the link to the NEW Kitchen Sink Stamps Forum and Gallery, some of the KSS Crew will be in the forums from  Noon to Midnight EST, there will be plenty of fun Challenges, Games, Prizes, and Giveaways - be sure to join us!

Once I had my Stickerz in place, I added some Silver Gems, then filled my Cello Bag, adding more Stickrez/Gems to decorate the bag.  The Tag is also from this set, I just backed it on card stock and adhered it under the Snowflake Charm.

Take Flight - PDCC#55

I'm so glad you stopped by today!  It's time for another Color Story Challenge from at The Play Date Cafe.  This week we have Sarah as our color story hostess, and we welcome Innovative Stamp Creations as this weeks sponsor, along with Betsy Griffin (ISC Owner) as our Guest Designer.  This weeks winner will receive this fabulous set ($18 value) compliments of ISC

The PDCC Designers were all sent a lovely array of images from ISC to incorporate with this weeks challenge - thanks Betsy! And given the color story, it looks like most of us used the same beautiful butterfly image!  It's always great to see so many different interpretations of the same set.

I created this card a few weeks back when my friend and fellow PDCC DT member Sue, came down to create with me for the day. I actually started out with a different ISC image that was sent to me, but it just wasn't working with the color story, so I moved to the beautiful Take Flight set.  I used a beautiful piece of Websters Pages paper that Sue had brought with her, stamping my image directly on the paper.  I stamped the the image again on Watercolor paper, coloring the images with the Marker Watercoloring Technique in Pinks and Burgundy, then cut them out and placed them on dimensionals over the stamped image and added some gems.

PDCC#52 Happy Anniversary!

Thanks so much for stopping by for this weeks Play Date Cafe Color Challenge! You're in for a special treat this week, as the PDCC celebrates it's One Year Anniversary!

This week we have Unity Stamps Sponsoring us with a set of 15 Itty Bitty Stamp sets going to this weeks winner.  There will also be a giveaway from Cosmo Cricket.  We are thrilled to welcome back some PDCC Alumni Designers playing along with us, there will also be daily posts on the PDCC Blog, as the Unity Design Team will also be joining in on the celebration!

The PDCC Designers were all given stamps by Unity this week for our postings, the image  I received is  Hello My Friend.  I found some fab papers from Prima that had the orange/pink/green and yellow color from this weeks color story and used that as my background.  I did sponge on some Distress Ink in Dried Marigold to the edges.  The heart is stamped on Watercolor paper, I sponged on Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet and Sponge Sugar to add color. Then Spritzed a Prima Flower with Perfect Pearls Mist in Sunflower and adhered to the heart.  Some Zva Flourish Pearls are added for interest behind the image.

It's time for another color challenge over at The Play Date Cafe!  This week, it's all about Christmas in the Cafe!  Julie Ranae is your Color Story Hostess this week with  Green, Melon Red and White as your colors, and we have Elusive Images as our wonderful sponsor!  Be sure to play along this week,  prizes will be awarded to the Cup of the Week, and ALSO the Fab 4 Winners - how cool is that!

Elusive Images is a rubber stamp company with a wide range of designs and styles. Founded in the UK by Glenda Waterworth over 10 years ago, EI prides itself on both the design and manufacture of its rubber stamps, together with the Artylicious range of CDs. From original hand drawn images to final product every care is taken along the way to sustain the company’s reputation for good quality.

The Cup of the Week will receive ALL FOUR of these beautiful stamp sets, each Fab 4 Winner will receive ONE of these sets chosen by Glenda at Elusive Images.

The PDCC Designers were all given Elusive Images Christmas stamps to use with today's challenge - I received the beautiful New England Winter Set

Being sponsored by Elusive Images, and not having one of their sentiments, I chose to leave the sentiment off my card.  One can easily be added in the open space, or a handwritten "from our house to yours".   You can't see the dimension in this photos, but the small snippet at the top of my blog shows how I popped out the tree, house and window with dimensionals.  The images were stamped in Black Archival on Watercolor paper then colored using the Marker Watercoloring Technique.  I did add a touch of Brown as a "neutral" for parts of the house, tree trunk and fence.

Here's this weeks Color Story Photo. We'd love for you to play along with us at the Cafe, you can find all the details here on how to enter.  If you upload to any online gallery please use keyword PDCC#50 so we can find your creations!
