Our Daily Bread Designs January Release

Welcome to the New Release post showcasing projects from Our Daily Bread Designs January Release!  You can see all of the January Releases here.  Continue reading below to find out how you can win a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store good towards the purchase of ODBD stamps.

I created two cards using the new Apothecary Bottle stamp set and ODBD Custom Apothecary Dies, along with a few older ODBD stamp sets.

For my first card, I did some "creative masking" to add the ship from The Waves on the Sea to the Apothecary Bottle.

I Black Embossed the Apothecary Bottle on White card stock, then stamped the ship image on an Image Sheet so I could see how it would look stamped on the bottle.  I cleaned the stamp then masked off the portions that were not needed with EZRelease Tape, reinked the image, removed the tape, then used a SAMJ to stamp the image onto the Apothecary Bottle, and Black Embossed the ship.  To add color I used STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, and sponged ink around a scallop edge to create clouds.   The sentiment is from the Ornate Borders Sentiments stamp set.

Details:
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs Apothecary Bottles, The Waves on the Sea, Ornate Borders Sentiments
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
Card Stock - Black, White
Other - Ink Blending Tool, SAMJ, Heat Gun, Black Emobssing Powder, STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, Scallop Scrap, Big Shot, ODBD Custom Apothecary Bottles Die, Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles

My next card features Our Daily Bread Designs Apothecary Bottles stamp set, ODBD Custom Apothecary Bottles Die, ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die, Time and Save Time stamp sets.

I randomly stamped the clock face from the Time set in Ranger Coffee Archival on the Bo Bunny pattern paper.  The Apothecary Bottle was stamped in Espresso Ink on Espresso card stock, then die cut using the ODBD Custom Apothecary Bottles Die.  I used the "omitting" technique to stamp the quote from Save Time on Vanilla card stock, distressed the edges and sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink before adhering to the die cut bottle.  To embellish I added a paper doily, gears, Zva Creative Mini Roses, Twine, Seam Binding and a flourish die cut from Kiwi card stock using Our Daily Bread Designs Fancy Foliage Die.

  15. Hi. What very nice cards. Love that ship in a bottle. Bottles and jars are such great stamps to have. Also masculine stamps are hard (for me) to come up with so easy and this is perfect. The next card is also very nice. Very vintage looking and lovely flowers. I have the Time in a Bottle stamp and have used it quite a but - beautiful sentiment too for the great bottles. Than you for sharing your creativity.
