Our Daily Bread Designs - August Release

This month Our Daily Bread Designs is releasing 8 Garden Theme stamp sets and Two Exclusive ODBD Custom Dies.  You can see all of the August Releases here. The Garden Theme stamps and Canning Jar Dies coordinate with the stamps and dies from the ODBD March Release, and the possibilities are endless for the new ODBD Fancy Foliage Die. Continue reading below to find out how you can win a $50 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store good towards the purchase of stamps.

The cards I created use the Peaches and Strawberries stamp sets along with the Fancy Foliage Die from the August Release.  I've also used the ODBD Quatrefoil Pattern Die, ODBD Recipe Card and Tags Die and Stamped by Butterfly Mini.

For this card, I stamped the jar onto White card stock, then cut the panel using the Out of the Box Technique.  Then I stamped the Peaches jar a few times on Bo Bunny pattern paper, and again on White card stock so that I could paper piece the elements.

The Fruit was colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor pencils, blending with Gamsol.  The sentiment from the ODBD Strawberries set is stamped in Black on a scrap of Bo Bunny pattern paper, then die cut using the small tag from the ODBD Recipe Card and Tags Die.  To embellish I die cut the swirl and leaves from the ODBD Fancy Foliage Die, added some Black Seam Binding and an Peach Mini Rose from Zva Creative.

My second card using the verse from the Peaches set, along with the ODBD Fancy Foliage Die, ODBD Quatrefoil Pattern Die and the Stamped by Butterfly - Mini.

I'm a layer girl, and this card has a ton of them!  The Quatrefoil Pattern Die is cut from White card stock and lightly sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  I die cut/embossed a Spellbinder Oval Die from the center of another White panel, then embossed it with the Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers Embossing Folder.  I die cut/embossed a smaller Oval from Black card stock and layered that under the White embossed panel for a mat, added the Quatrefoil under that panel, then a White panel as the base and layered it onto an Olive base card.  WHEW - that's a lot of layers!  The verse is stamped in Black on a White panel and die cut/embossed using Spellbinders Petite Oval Dies, and layered onto a Black panel then to the card with dimensionals.  To embellish I die cut the swirl from the Fancy Foliage Die numerous times, then cut it into pieces to use as shown.  The sweet little butterflies are stamped onto scraps of Bo Bunny pattern paper and adhered with glue dots.
