Zva Creative March Blog Hop - Starburst Card

Welcome to the Zva Creative March Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Christin's Blog, you are in the right place, if not you might want to start at Zva Creative Blog, so that you don't miss any of the designers beautiful creations. Hidden along the hop are FIVE Zva Creative prize packages, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way. Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over.

Wanting to use up some of the scraps I have in my pattern paper stash, I used the Starburst Technique for the background.  I cut my strips at 1/2" x 4-1/2" then cut them on a diagonal, sponged the edges, and layered them as shown.  Once all my pieces were adhered in place, I trimmed off the excess.

Starburst card using MME papers, Quote Collection 3 from Our Daily Bread Designs, ODBD Antique Labels and Border Dies, Zva Creative Crystals/Roses

The quote is from Our Daily Bread Designs Quote Collection 3, stamped in Chocolate on Vanilla panel, then die cut with Spellbinders Circle Dies.  To embellish I added the Border Die from Our Daily Bread Designs Antique Labels and Border Dies. To lengthen the die, I cut it once, then lined up the die and cut it again.  To embellish I added Seam Binding tied in a double bow using Becca's Peg Bow Maker, Zva Creative Smoke Crystal Flourishes (CRW-05CA-154) and Mini Roses in Rosy (FLBK-03CB-124)/Peach (FLBK-03CB-128) and Cream (FLBK-03CB-132).
