Artistic Outpost Releases Cowgirl Strength and Auld Lang Syne

I'm excited to share with you two projects I created using the new Cowgirl Strength plate being released at Artistic Outpost today!

I love the bold vintage style of these stamps!  They lend themselves nicely to both Mixed Media and card making!

My first piece is a 4" x 6" Mixed Media Canvas

The background is created with pieces of pattern paper from the My Minds Eye Lost and Found Ruby Collection, Gesso, paints, Stencils and stamps from the Cowgirl Strength plate.  The Cowgirl is stamped on a scrap piece of pattern paper, her outfit was also stamped on scraps and pieced over the stamped image.  A bit of color was added with STAEDTLER Mars Graphic Markers to her skin.  The sentiment was also stamped on scraps with the "stitch" stamp added to the edges.  The banner was stamped onto the Canvas, then stamped again on to scrap pieces of pattern paper and pieced into place. To pull a bit more of the red into the background, I used Red Paint and the Crafters Workshop Pardise Stencil. To make the stamped images pop, I drew around them with a Black Lumocolor Marker from STAEDTLER.

Inspired by this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch, I created a CAS card using images from the Cowgirl Strength plate.

The other plate being released today is Auld Lang Syne, which features New Year images and was designed to coordinate with the Artistic Outpost Picture Star Plate.
