When I saw the Stars and Stripes Kit from
SVG Cuts, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to create something with it. I love to create patriotic projects, and when I was working CKC Buffalo I had picked up the Authentique Glory pattern paper, which is just perfect for these projects!

The base card stock for the lantern and star bar is Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up! I distressed both the lantern and star box with Jenni Bowlin Malted Milk Paint, and the firecracker box with Jenni Bowlin Chili Powder Paint. Both the star box and firecracker are sized according to the SVG, the lantern however, is sized to fit 8-1/2" x 11", since I didn't have and 12" x 12" of Cherry Cobbler on hand. All templates are embellished with Tulle, Twine and buttons. I added a tag to the star box using the sentiment "God Bless America" from
Our Daily Bread Designs God Bless America set.
