Celebrating Mom's and Grads

Welcome to the Creations by AR Design Team Blog Hop!  This month the Creations by AR Team is honoring mom's and grads with Adela's new Grad Cap Box and Birdhouse Topiary Templates.  Be sure to keep reading to see how you can win one of these new templates!

Our oldest graduates from High School at the end of May, so I'll be creating a bunch of these Grad Cap Boxes for upcoming parties.  I'm thinking about enlarging the pattern a bit to hold a Gift Card too!  I cut the letters and numbers from Black card stock using the Silhouette Cameo, then popped them up on dimensionals.

The sentiment on the mortarboard and on the inside wrapped around some cash, are from Our Daily Bread Designs As You Graduate Set.  Both sets of text are stamps in Black Archival on Watercolor paper, for the outside, I used the banner that comes with the Grad Cap Box, I resized it to fit the text, then made an offset in Black to go underneath.  For the inside, I cut the text with Spellbinders Deckle Rectangle Die. 

I love the Birdhouse Topiary, and can see many uses for gifts and home decor!  For my topiary I cut all template pieces from the Bo Bunny Weekend Market Collection.  I added a little perch under the birdhouse opening, and embellished with some moss, Wrinkle Ribbon, and die cuts.

The quote is from Our Daily Bread Designs Quote Collection 1, stamped in Chocolate on a scrap of Bo Bunny card stock, then cut with Spellbinders Oval Dies, and layered on a Chocolate Oval panel.

I added a crumpled flower (ODBD's Sweet William Small stamped on Bo Bunny paper and scrunched) and Spellbinders Flourish to both the bird house and quote panel.
