ODBD Anniversary Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs  Anniversary Release Blog Hop! If you arrived here from The Dawn's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog and hop from there for your chance to win one of the FIVE fabulous prizes!  The Hop will run from 8am EDT March 17th until 8pm EDT March 18th. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on March 19th. For all the hop details, be sure to check out the ODBD Blog

In previous years, the Designers submitted a favorite Scripture for the special Anniversary Sets, this year, the sets include Scriptures, Quotes and Sentiments.  Click here to view the new Anniversary sets, these sets can be purchased separately or you can order them as bundle and save 20%!  The quote I submitted, and used on my project can be found on the Quote Collection 1 set.

To create my project, I cut the birdcage from the SVG Cuts Playful Parlor Kit out of White card stock using the Silhouette Cameo, then stamped the Honeycomb Background in Gray ink on the cut panels.  I randomly applied Versamark and Silver Embossed for an antique looking birdcage.  To embellish the cage, I used the Watercolor Distress Technique on a Manilla Tag, then stamped the butterflies from the Faith Set and the quote from Quote Collection 1 in Black Archival on the inked tag.  I cut the butterflies, sponged the edges with Distress Ink, gave them wire antennae and adhered them to the cage with Glue Dots.  I used Spellbinders Labels 18 to cut around the quote. To embellish the top I cut a Rolled Flower from Mustard card stock using the Silhouette, and added some White Wrinkle Ribbon that I dyed with Antique Linen Distress Stain, and some Olive flourishes cut from Spellbinders Dies.  For the inside of the birdcage, I added some moss and  hubby's suggestion of the Robins Nest Malted Milk Eggs.
