Friends 24-7...The Same but Different

I'm working on a few swap ideas for 2 talented groups of stampers, both swaps require you to use new stamps from the Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalog. I just *love* the images from Friends 24-7 and the matching Friendly Word Wheel, and have incorporated them into my card. I'm not sure which card I'll be using for the swap yet - and still need to create another swap card, as some of these ladies happen to be in both swap groups.

The February issue of the TJNL has some great new techniques, and I thought the Block Collage would be perfect to work with both the Wheel and the Stamps. I've created the same collage on both cards, but changed the base card stock, and added a popped up image and a bit of color on the second version. Do you prefer one over the other?

Stamps - Friendly Words Wheel, Friends 24-7, Dreams Du Jour (all SU)
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive
Card Stock - Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Shimmer, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel
Other- Blender Pen, Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber, Stipple Brush, Eclipse Tape
Finished Size - 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"

I love both these cards. I am ordering that set this week, and know it will be a fav or mine--it is just my style. Thanks for the great examples--I like the one with the blue just a little better--probably just because I love blues!

I am sure the ladies would love both of these! I pick the one with the blue accents- love the color pop on that one- but I am a lover of all things blue. Great card- and love this set. TFS

I definitely like the blue one better. Goes with the blue on the bird very nicely. Did you roll the wheel in all directions to make the background? Very nice!

Hi Lisa, I'm with you , I love this set & wheel also! I like the first one you did the best, the blue one! They are both nice, but the blue one just suits my fancy! lol

Lovely cards! I love both of them, but I do think I am more partial to the one with a little more dimension. Thanks for sharing!

WOW! this is gorgeous! Honestly, it is hard to choose one over the other. The blue is nice because it really pops. The yellow is nice because it gives that feel of vintage. You know, I bet PURPLE would be STUNNING! heeheehee

I like them both. I would be happy to recieve either one.
I really like the brown one because the image is lighter, over all. The blue in the bird is a little too dark, if it was a lighter blue maybe it would be better. I do like it popped up though. Best, carol

These are both lovely cards Lisa....I'm leaning more towards the popped up image though.

Great stamps and technique!

Wow, I love them both! I think the caramel is my favorite, but the blue is so striking. I'm now kicking myself because I ordered the set yesterday and didn't get the wheel. Guess that's the start of my next order, lol. Thanks so much for sharing!

Lisa, you always do such wonderful work and these cards are no exception. I'm with those who go for the blue one, but then I love blue and watching the bluebirds in my yard. I already ordered the wheel, now I have another idea for it's use.
